And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2:42-47
St Mary’s school was founded to serve the parishes of Our Lady of Sorrows and St Bridget, St Margaret of Scotland and St Vincent de Paul. Each week 2 or 3 classes attend the regular week day Mass on Thursday mornings. Please look at the Mass timetable for this half term to see when each class is going to Mass. We invite parents and family members to join us and the rest of the Parish in celebrating the Mass on Thursday mornings at 9am.
During the year we also strengthen our relationship with the parish by attending Mass on Holy Days of Obligation and receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Mass is also organised for special occasions such as the leaving Mass for Year 6 pupils.
We support and celebrate children receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion (Year 3 and above) and the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation (Year 6).
